We used Givergy and wound up paying about $1700 in upfront costs for a campaign… We were happy to hit the ground running but can’t justify this kind of money going forward.
The technology is decent, but what bugged me was their lack of flexibility in pricing. It would have been great if they offered the option to share fees with donors or even split them between the organization and the donor - that way, the cost burden wouldn't fall entirely on us.
Givergy does the job, but one thing that raised my eyebrows was their day-of support fee, which is a hefty $1,200. The rest of our experience was pretty standard. Definitely had some push back from our board when hiring the much needed support due to the pricing. Something to consider!
Unfortunately, Givergy puts a cap on how many "event managers" you can have. That restriction meant only one person could set up the event at a time in the back end of the software and it cost us a lot of valuable time during our planning process!
We enjoyed our experience using Givergy!! They have some limitations but all in all a good product to get started with.
